Whiting, Ind. – Jan. 30, 2020 – The current temperature in the Midwest may indicate otherwise, but the ninth season of pre-professional summer baseball in Northwest Indiana is right around the corner.
The Northwest Indiana Oilmen have announced a slate of 25 regular season home games for the 2020 campaign. In addition, the team will once again host the annual Midwest Collegiate League All-Star Game, which this season will take place on Monday, July 20 at Oil City Stadium.
The home slate kicks off on Tuesday, June 9 as the Bloomington Bobcats provide the opposition for the home opener. Early homestands include June 9-13 and June 25-July 2, while the team will play a slew of midsummer home dates from July 7-20. The final three home games of the regular season will take place on July 31, Aug. 1 and Aug. 2.
The Oilmen have become a fixture in Northwest Indiana since their inaugural season in 2012. The team captured MCL championships in 2012, 2016 and 2018.
