Oilmen Looking to Rebound, Get Revenge Against Bobcats Thursday

WHITING, Ind. -- The Northwest Indiana Oilmen will look to rebound as NWI travels to Bloomington, Ill. to take on the Bloomington Bobcats on Thursday.

The Oilmen (2-2) will take on the Bobcats at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Ill. starting at 6 p.m. on Thursday.

LAST TIME OUT
The Northwest Indiana Oilmen fell behind early and were never able to recover as NWI lost to the DuPage County Hounds, 16-8, Wednesday. Donivan Williams (Oak Lawn, Ill./Illinois State) connected on his first home run of the season in the second inning. Noah Davis (Portage, Ind./Quincy) crushed a grandslam in the fourth inning to narrow the deficit but DuPage answered right back. Sam Geraci (Steger, Ill./Illinois-Springfield) suffered the loss for NWI. Nate Thomas (South Bend, Ind./Northern Illinois) made his Oilmen debut, going four innings, allowing three earned runs and striking out three.

SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
The Bloomington Bobcats are coming off a 9-6 loss to the Southland Vikings on May 31. Garrett Shea and Jack Butler both connected on home runs for the Bobcats in the setback.

SERIES HISTORY
The Bobcats lead the all-time series between the two clubs, 5-2, including a 1-0 victory for Bloomington on May 27 when Nick Figus hit a sac fly to right, scoring Cossio from third.
