Oilmen Announce 2021 Home Schedule

Whiting, Ind. – April 29, 2021 – The Northwest Indiana Oilmen will celebrate their 10th anniversary season with another summer of affordable family entertainment beginning with the home opener on Tuesday, June 8.

After the MCL Minutemen come to town for the first game at Oil City Stadium this season, the Joliet Generals will provide the opposition as the homestand continues on Wednesday, June 9. The final game of the three-game homestand will be the team’s annual Kids Day on Thursday, June 10 at 10:30 a.m. against the Crestwood Panthers.

In total, the home slate features 25 games plus the 2021 MCL All-Star Game, which will take place at Oil City Stadium on Tuesday, July 20. Except for the June 10 Kids Day, all Oilmen home games this season will begin at 7:10 p.m.

A fan favorite returns as “Miller Lite Pint Night” is back this summer. Miller Lite Pints will be available for the discounted price of $2 at every Friday home game. Fans are encouraged to mark their calendars for the five Friday home dates: June 18, June 25, July 9, July 30 and Aug. 6.

The Oilmen have finished with a winning record and qualified for the MCL playoffs in all nine years of their existence. The franchise is coming off its sixth MCL Championship Series appearance in 2020 and has won three league championships. The Oilmen are part of the Midwest Collegiate League, which has produced 89 players who have gone on to play professionally, including four who have fulfilled the ultimate dream of playing Major League Baseball.
