8 Oilmen Receive NL All-Star Honors

The Oilmen will be well represented for the Northern League All-Star Game. Oil City Stadium will house 8 players from Northwest Indiana's favorite team. The Oilmen will have 3 pitchers and 3 hitters, as well as 1 two-way player.

Pitchers for the Oilmen will be RJ Bergren, Quinn Flanagan, Tommy Haggerty, Troy Vosburgh, and Alberto Lamas.

RJ Bergren has dominated the Northern League over 4 starts. He has a 4-0 record, while only giving up 7 hits and no earned runs all season. The southpaw has also struck out 33 hitters while only walking 12. Bergren's performance has made him a clear choice to be among the Northern League's finest.

Jalen House has been among the best players in the league this year. His ability with the bat partnered with his excellent defense made him an easy choice for the All-Star game. House is Batting .415 in 10 games played. He has collected a whopping 17 hits, including 5 doubles and 2 triples. House has collected 5 RBI while scoring 11 times. The typical leadoff man has also worked 7 walks and stolen 7 bases.

Ryan Groberski is an elite hitter, and he now has an All-Star nod to show for it. Groberski is batting .500 in 9 games played in, collecting 15 hits. Ryan has 4 doubles and a triple on the year. He has racked up 11 RBI while scoring 14 times. Groberski has also worked 4 walks this season.
