Stefan joins the Oilmen during the summer following his freshman year at Indiana University. While away at school, the Dyer-native is majoring in journalism while minoring in sports management and in psychology.
As a freshman at IU, Stefan was an Ernie Pyle Scholar and worked for the school paper— the Indiana Daily Student. Stefan spent time as the baseball and golf beat reporter. In the fall he will be the sports editor.
Stefan is an alumnus of Lake Central High School. During his time at LC, Stefan was class president while also spending his junior and senior year on the Publications staff. While on Publications his senior year, Stefan served as a social media manager for a follower audience above 10,000 over four platforms.
While balancing Publications and school, Stefan spent his senior year working for NWI Life as a reporter. He was also apart of the first Lake Central School Corporation Public Relations team where he represented Protsman Elementary School.
Stefan lived on the East Side, less than five miles from Whiting, until 2005 before his family moved to Dyer.
Stefan looks forward to enhancing his knowledge of social media and marketing while working with the Oilmen. He is also excited to learn more about Northwest Indiana and all the people coming out to Oil City Stadium.
