Kelsie Kasper

Broadcasting Intern

Munster native Kelsie Kasper is joining the Oilmen broadcasting team this summer after finishing her second year at Butler University. At Butler, Kasper is a sports media major and strategic communications minor.

While at Butler, Kasper has had the opportunity to receive hands-on experience in the sports industry. In her first year, Kasper wrote for the school newspaper,The Butler Collegian. She covered men’s and women’s track and field and women’s basketball, writing and shooting video recaps.

Last summer, Kasper interned with Olympia Fields Country Club and assisted with the club’s social media accounts and club membership. She also had the opportunity to be a part of the KPMG Women’s PGA Championships updating the members on the tournament.

As a sophomore, Kasper received more experience working in front of the camera. She participated in two sport shows, The Butler Press and The Bark rotating between anchoring, reporting and directing. She also had the opportunity to volunteer at the Big Ten Football Championship as a press conference assistant.

Heading into her junior year, Kasper plans to spend the fall semester in New York completing an internship.

Kasper is excited to work locally in The Region with the NWI Oilmen and looks to expand her skill set with the broadcasting team.
