The Northwest Indiana Oilmen are proud to announce that former player Shai Robinson has been selected by the Minnesota Twins in the 10th round of the 2025 Major League Baseball Draft. Robinson, an outfielder, was drafted out of Illinois State University.
Robinson was a standout player for the Oilmen during the 2023 summer season, showcasing his impressive speed, defensive prowess, and consistent bat. His time with the Oilmen helped him hone his skills against top collegiate competition, contributing significantly to the team’s success.
During his collegiate career at Illinois State, Robinson continued to develop into one of the top prospects in the Missouri Valley Conference, consistently demonstrating his five-tool potential. His dedication and hard work have culminated in this significant milestone.
