Oilmen and Foresters Suspended by Rain Whiting, Ind. – June 28, 2013 – Friday night’s game between the Northwest Indiana Oilmen and Rockford Foresters was suspended due to rain. The game was in the top of the first inning with Rockford in front 2-0. Domenic Biagini hit a two-run homer against NWI starter Jimmy McNamara prior to the storm. The Oilmen and Foresters were also postponed on Wednesday night. Wednesday’s game will be made up as part of a double header on July 23. The makeup date for Friday’s game has not yet been announced. Northwest Indiana hosts DuPage County on Saturday night at 7:10 at Oil City Stadium. The Oilmen are in first place in the Midwest Collegiate League with a 10-3 record. |
