This 62 right-handed hitter out of Highland, Indiana will be entering his sophomore season of college baseball this spring.
Livingston hit .255 with one homerun and 11 RBIs in 42 games as a freshman last season and only looks to get better in the upcoming years, especially in the power department. South Suburban head coach Steve Ruzich had this to say about his first basemen: John is a big strong hitter with great hands. With power to all fields, John has a good chance to be a catalyst in the middle of the line-up. That scouting report alone should get Oilmen fans excited for this upcoming 2012 season.
Before attending South Suburban, Livingston attended Highland High School in Indiana and earned numerous accolades for the accomplishments he had on the diamond. He was First Team All-Conference twice, was named to the 2009 Hoosier Diamond All-State team, and was voted team MVP in his junior and senior seasons. If Livingston could play up to his potential the Oilmen may have just found their middle of the lineup hitter.
