Mother Nature causes another day of waiting before Oilmen open season Whiting, Ind. – May 31, 2015 – Sunday’s scheduled season opener between the Northwest Indiana Oilmen and Joliet Admirals has been postponed due to poor field conditions at Joliet Junior College. A steady rain fell throughout the day on Saturday, creating unsafe playing conditions. The game will be made up at Monday, June 1 at 5 p.m. The game begins a stretch of six straight road games for the Oilmen to start the 2015 season. Keith Mahler (Heartland / Cumberland / Highland, Ind.) is scheduled to start against Joliet’s Nick Allgeyer (Iowa).
