Oilmen Explode for Sixteen Runs to End Final Home Stand in a Rout07/27/2012 10:24 AM - Oilmen Explode for Sixteen Runs to End Final Home Stand in a Rout The Northwest Indiana Oilmen ended their final home game on a high note, routing the Southland Vikings, 16-4. The Vikings had been victorious in their last three games with the Oilmen. Jack Cinoman, Billy Miller, and John Livingston all had three RBIs on the night. Livingston hit a three run blast over the left field wall, adding to the Oilmen lead in the sixth inning. Elliott Bajda went 1 for 2, with four walks, and scored four Oilmen runs. The winning pitcher was Danny Britt (7-1), who pitched seven innings, allowing two runs on seven hits, while walking three and striking out four. Taking the loss was Aaron Hauge (0-3). In four innings, Hauge gave up three runs on two hits, walking six and striking out eight. The Oilmen look to take their winning ways on the road, July 27-29th, for the final three games of the 2012 season. The MCL post-season begins on July 31st in a best-of-three first round series.
