The Oilmen now lead the best-of-three series, 1-0. Billy Miller racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Oilmen, including a grand slam in the first, and singles in the third, fifth, and seventh innings. Joshua Negele got the win while throwing ten strikeouts. Negele allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks over seven innings. Thomas Michelson was the game's losing pitcher, lasting seven innings, walking five, striking out four, and giving up all five runs. The Hounds will host game two at Lisle-Benedictine Sports Complex in Lisle, IL at 7:00 PM. The winner of this series will play for the Midwest Collegiate League Championship against the winner of the Southland vs. DeKalb County series, beginning Friday, August 3rd, in the home park of the highest-remaining seed.
