Yelnick added to MCL All-Star Roster07/08/2016 9:03 AM - July 8, 2016 – The MCL White All-Stars found themselves in need of an extra arm, and there were none more deserving than Oilmen left-handed pitcher Richard Yelnick. Yelnick, who just finished his sophomore year at Parkland and will join Trinity Christian’s pitching staff next season, holds a 1.50 ERA in 24 innings of work. He has issued seven walks and racked up 22 strikeouts in six games, four starts. Yelnick was named MCL Pitcher of the Week after striking out eight over six scoreless innings against the Bobcats on June 16. The southpaw is in his second year with the Oilmen and his first as a part of the starting rotation after coming out of the bullpen last season. This lifts the total number of Oilmen participating in the game to 11. The 2016 Midwest Collegiate League All-Star Game will take place on Tuesday at 7:20 p.m. at Oil City Stadium. Tickets are available now on NWIOilmen.com. Stay tuned for any further additions to the MCL All-Star rosters. Click "download attachment" to view full MCL All-Star Rosters. |
