WHITING, Ind. -- The Northwest Indiana Oilmen will look to continue some momentum as NWI travels to Palos Heights, Ill. to take on the Crestwood Panthers Wednesday.
The Oilmen (5-4) will take on the Panthers (1-4) at Alan B. Shepard High School in Palos Heights, Ill. starting at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

LAST TIME OUT
The Northwest Indiana Oilmen are coming off a 16-0 victory against the Crestwood Panthers on June 4. Starter Max Franklin (Chicago Heights, Ill./Heartland CC) picked up the victory after tossing five scoreless innings, scattering two hits, issuing four walks and striking out 12. Blake Marks (Gardner, Ill./Lakeland CC/Lewis) came in relief and threw four scoreless innings, allowing three hits and striking out 10. Noah Davis (Portage, Ind./Benedictine), Amir Wright (Griffith, Ind./Kentucky Wesleyan), Donivan Williams (Oak Lawn, Ill./Illinois State) all had four hits for the NWI. Wright went 4-6 was a home run short of the cycle, with two singles, a double and a triple. Davis went 4-5 with four RBI. Williams went 4-6 with two RBI.
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
The Panthers are in their first season in the Midwest Collegiate League. Crestwood currently stands at 1-4 on the season and are coming off a loss against the Oilmen. The Panthers won their first game of the season against the Bobcats, 2-1, before falling in their next four games. Travis Schoonover leads Crestwood in hitting with a .571 batting average.
The Oilmen lead the all-time series, 1-0, with NWI winning 16-0 on June 4, when three Oilmen players had four hits each. Franklin picked up the victory after tossing five scoreless innings, scattering two hits, issuing four walks and striking out 12.
