FOR STARTERS
The Northwest Indiana Oilmen are looking to extend their biggest win streak in team history on Tuesday as the Oilmen travel to Joliet Junior College to take on the Joliet Generals. The Oilmen won their eighth straight which is already their longest in history on Sunday with a 9-3 victory against the Southland Vikings. Joliet looks to get back on track after falling in extras to the Crestwood Panthers on Sunday.

INSIDE THE OILMEN
The Oilmen keep on rolling despite a shortened week with three rainouts. Nate Montgomery continues to swing a consistent bat for NWI, as Montgomery was named Midwest Collegiate League Player of the Week after going 5-10 (.500) this past week with four doubles, four runs scored and seven RBI including a 3-4 day in the Oilmen’s first victory over the Southland Vikings all season long. The Oilmen got a good pitching performace from their starter Max Franklin on Sunday. Franklin went four innings, scattering two hits, issuing one walk and striking out seven to pick up his second win of the season. NWI starting pitcher Brandon Hickey makes his fifth start of the year looking for his first win on Tuesday as he owns a 0-1 record with a 1.00 ERA in four starts. In 18 innings of work, Hickey has allowed 12 hits, issued nine walks and struck out a team high 25. Zaid Walker has been a good addition for NWI so far, as he is 4-9 with three runs scored.

INSIDE THE GENERALS
The Joliet Generals are coming off a 10-9 loss in extra innings against the Crestwood Pantheers on June 24 where they came back from being down 8-4 going into the bottom of the ninth. The Generals allowed two runs in the top of the 10th and tried for some late-game heroics but only able to score one run. Bryce Cross went 3-5 with two runs scored in the loss. Joliet starter Jordan Baker went five innings, allowed three runs (all earned), scattered three hits, issued two walks and struck out four. Jeremiah Lebron has been the best Joliet bat so far this season. Lebron is hitting .424, with 25 hits, five of those being doubles, three home runs which is second in the MCL, 14 RBI and 18 runs scored. Joliet starter Mike Santerelli makes his fourth start of the season and fifth appearance. Santerelli owns a 2-1 record with a 9.12 ERA in 23.2 innings of work, he has issued 10 free passes and struck out 20. This will be his third appearance against NWI and his second start.
