Ganz is committed to Lewis University, where he has received an academic scholarship for his hard work. Ganz is a fan of the Chicago Cubs, and his favorite player was Bryce Harper. His favorite memory of playing baseball was taking a trip to Cooperstown. He has shaped his pitching after Marcus Stroman. Ethan Ganz has played hockey all of his life. He also enjoys to fish, and his favorite food is a good steak. He grew up playing for the Cangelosi Sparks most of his life.
